The Lord promised us that He would take us into the kingdom of heaven upon His return in the last days. Then what should we do to be taken into the kingdom of heaven? Some people believe that by believing in the Lord Jesus and receiving His redemption, believers have already been forgiven of sin and that as long as they often make offerings, pray, and read the Bible, they will be praised by God and be taken into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returns. However, some people question this point of view: It’s true that we have received the Lord’s redemption and had our sins forgiven, and it is correct for us to read the Bible and pray more often. However, it is also a fact that we still often sin and fail to practice the Lord’s teaching. Can those who often sin really enter the kingdom of heaven?
This question is crucial to whether we can welcome the Lord and be raptured into the kingdom of heaven. Let’s take a look at what God’s words say.
God says, “ Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin.And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the Son stays ever.” (John 8:34-35)
“You must know what kind of people I desire; those who are impure are not permitted to enter into the kingdom, those who are impure are not permitted to besmirch the holy ground. Though you may have done much work, and worked for many years, in the end if you are still deplorably filthy, then it will be intolerable to the law of Heaven that you wish to enter My kingdom! From the foundation of the world until today, never have I offered easy access to My kingdom to those who curry favor with Me. This is a heavenly rule, and no one can break it! ”
From the words of God, we can see that the kingdom of God is holy. The ones who are forgiven of sin yet still often sin without being purified are still unqualified to enter the kingdom of heaven.
