At dawn, Sister Wang was sitting at the desk, holding the Bible, and was seriously reading the story of the Samaritan woman.
The Lord Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, “For you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband: in that said you truly” (John 4:18).
After hearing this, the Samaritan woman was much surprised and said to the men in the city, "Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" (John 4: 29).
Looking at the scriptures, Sister Wang was in deep contemplation: “The Samaritan woman recognized from His words that the Lord Jesus was Christ. This is because she knew that only God can see into all things and can give voice to the secrets people hide—He spoke out on all that she had done, and outside of God, no one possesses that kind of authority and power. It can be seen that the wisdom of the Samaritan woman is to discern the voice of God, and therefore she gained the salvation of the Lord Jesus."
Thinking of this, Sister Wang felt brightened in her heart. Then she thought to herself: “Recently you heard someone bearing witness that the Lord had returned, but you did not seek and investigate whether what they testified is the voice of God or not; how could you greet the Lord in this case? No, you should learn to identify the voice of God like the Samaritan woman.” Next, she read Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me”. From this verse, she was more certain that the Lord will speak new words and knock on the door of man when He comes again and that only by recognizing the Lord’s voice could she be able to greet the Lord. Understanding this point, Sister Wang was very happy and thanked the Lord over and over. ... Afterward, Sister Wang took the initiative to seek and investigate the returned Lord's appearance and work.
