Hearing some people testify that the Lord Jesus has already returned, many brothers and sisters are unwilling to seek and investigate because they are confused: The Lord Jesus said, “But of that day and hour knows no man, not the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but My Father only” (Matthew 24:36). Since no one knows the day and hour of the Lord’s return, how can these people know that the Lord has returned?
But do you know that our understanding of this verse is not in line with the Lord’s will? If we insist on the wrong view and do not seek or investigate, then we cannot meet the Lord’s return. Would that not be a great pity? In fact, “But of that day and hour knows no man” means that no one knows the exact day and time of the Lord’s return. However, when the Lord returns to work and speak words among man, some people will know it by His followers spreading the gospel. As it’s said in Matthew 25:6,And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him.”Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” It can be seen that when the Lord returns, He will stand at the door and knock, and if any man hears His voice and opens the door, He will come into him. This shows that some people will know when the Lord has returned.
Since some people will know when the Lord has returned, how should we welcome Him? The most important thing is to listen to God’s words, because in the last days, the Lord has returned to express millions of words of truth, telling us how to welcome the appearance of God in the last days, how to know God’s end-time work, and how to get rid of the bondage of sin. This fulfills the verse:"However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth..." (John 16:13).Therefore, only when we humbly hear the words of God can we recognize God’s voice and see His appearance.
