Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
From these words of Paul, we can see that even though he could work hard for the Lord, he still lived in sin and couldn’t help but sin. Without exception, we all live in sin. Though we always sacrifice for the Lord and support the weak brothers and sisters, we often complain against God when we meet with difficulties, or look down on others, or give them the cold shoulder when we think we’re better than them. Even if we can be tolerant and patient at that time, but after a few days, our love has gone cold, and instead we have grown weary of them without saintly decency. The Bible said, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Heb 12:14). If we live in sin and cannot be purified, then will we be abandoned by Jesus when He comes again? How can we stop sinning? That’s something worth reflecting on. We should pray to God or ask brothers and sisters who have experience and knowledge.
