It Turns out the Bible Has Long Prophesied the Lord Will Return to the Flesh in the Last Days

Speaking of the way of the Lord’s return in the last days, many people believe that the Lord will surely come with the clouds based on the Bible. So, when hearing some people preach that the Lord has returned in the flesh in the last days, we all immediately say: “Impossible! How could the Lord possibly become flesh again? The Lord is supposed to come with the clouds and rapture us straight up to the kingdom of heaven.” Actually, as long as we search the scriptures closely, we can easily find that there is the biblical basis for the Lord's return to the flesh. Let’s take a look at several verses together.

 

“Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not” (Luke 12:40).

 

“For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in His day. But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:24-25).

 

These verses mention “the Son of man descends” and “the Son of man comes.” Then what is the Son of man? When it comes to this phrase, actually, it refers to One who is born to a human and has normal humanity. Just like the incarnate Lord Jesus, when He came to do work on earth, He lived and ate together with man and gave them practical sermons, but God’s Spirit was hidden within this flesh. From the outside, the Lord Jesus was a regular person. When people saw Him, they didn’t know Him; only through His words and work can they recognize the Lord’s true identity. The above verses also mention “be rejected of this generation.” If the Lord returns in a spiritual body, could He suffer and be rejected by this generation? Definitely not! If He comes in a spiritual body, He could neither be called the Son of man. Clearly, the Lord will become flesh again and work among us as the Son of man in the last days.
