We have known that the Lord has come in secret in the last days. Then how are the prophecies of the Lord’s secret coming fulfilled?
The Lord Jesus said, “Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not” (Luke 12:40). “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:37). Here, these verses mention “the Son of man comes” and “the coming of the Son of man”. As we all know, the Son of man is born to a human, has emotions of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, lives like anyone else…. Besides possessing normal humanity, He also has the divine substance which we humans don’t possess and can do God’s own work. It’s just like the Lord Jesus who was able to express the truth, bestow upon man the way of repentance, resurrect the dead, perform many signs and wonders, and finally save the whole of mankind from sins by being nailed to the cross for man. Those works were accomplished by God Himself in ordinary and normal humanity. Therefore, when the Lord Jesus prophesied many times that the Son of man would come in the last days, it means that when He returns in the last days, God will be like the Lord Jesus, being born to a human, expressing the truth and doing the work of salvation of man in the flesh.
Luke 17:24-25 also prophesies, “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in His day. But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:24-25).
If the Lord descends openly among the clouds, all people will see Him, tremble with fear and dare not to resist Him. Then God won’t suffer many things or be rejected by this generation. Obviously, the Lord is to become flesh as the Son of man to do His work and save mankind in the last days.
