The Lord Has Come Secretly and Is Knocking at Our Doors

All believers in the Lord have been desperately looking forward to the return of the Savior Jesus. As various disasters are growing in scale, the prophecy of the Lord’s return has largely come true. It stands to reason that the Lord may very well have come back, but why hasn’t anyone seen the Lord Jesus coming with clouds? Some people think that the Lord may come during or after the great tribulation. Is this view in line with the fact of God’s work? Is it our imagination and notion?

The Lord Jesus said, “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.” (Revelation 16:15). “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him.” (Matthew 25:6). “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20). When it comes to “as a thief,” it refers to quiet and secret coming. That is, the Lord will have descended among us before we are aware of it. And the scripture prophesies “at midnight there was a cry made,” which means that someone will testify the Lord’s return. If the Lord publicly appears during or after the disaster, this is not quiet coming, and no one will need to call out the news of the Lord’s return. Therefore, it’s certain that the Lord will come back in secret and knock upon our doors with His words before the disaster. In order to welcome the Lord, we should seek the footsteps of the Lord and focus on listening to the voice of God.

God says, “He surveys the whole earth, and commands all things, and beholds all the words and deeds of man. He conducts His management with measured steps and according to His plan, silently and without dramatic effect, yet His footsteps advance, one by one, ever closer to mankind, and His judgment seat is deployed in the universe at the speed of lightning, following which His throne immediately descends into our midst. What a majestic scene that is, what a stately and solemn tableau! Like a dove, and like a roaring lion, the Spirit comes into our midst. He is wisdom, He is righteousness and majesty, and He comes surreptitiously into our midst, wielding authority and filled with love and mercy.”
