Now, the prophecies of the Lord’s return have mostly been fulfilled, and the Lord has already come back! Perhaps you will be confused: The Lord has come back? Then why have we not seen the Lord coming with clouds? This is because you have neglected the secret way in which the Lord returns. For instance, the Bible prophesies, “Behold, I come as a thief” (Revelation 16:15). “Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not” (Luke 12:40). Here the phrases “as a thief” and “at an hour when you think not” mean that the Lord will have quietly come before people are aware of it.
It is just as God’s words say, “At the break of dawn, unbeknownst to the multitudes of humanity, God came to earth and began His life in the flesh. People were unaware of the coming of this moment. Maybe they were all fast asleep; maybe many who were watchfully awake were waiting, and maybe many were praying silently to God in heaven. Yet among all these many people, not a single one knew that God had already arrived on earth.”
Because the Lord comes in secret, no one knows the exact time of His return. But after the Lord comes back and begins to utter words and do His work to save man, we can recognize and welcome the Lord by hearing the voice of God.
Now, it has been nearly 30 years since the Lord descended among us to speak and work. All those who heard the news of the Lord’s secret arrival and then investigated it have welcomed the Lord and been raptured before God, reunited with the Lord. They have gained the provision of the living water of life flowing from the throne, enjoyed the work of the Holy Spirit, and received spiritual peace and joy. However, those who didn’t seek or investigate the work of the Lord’s hidden advent are still looking at the sky and bitterly waiting, without welcoming the Lord. They are worried about being forsaken by the Lord if they fail to receive the Lord. If we still refuse to study the work of the Lord’s hidden advent now, when the work comes to an end and God openly appears to reward the good and punish the evil, we will be swept away by disasters with much weeping and gnashing of teeth. Once that happens, it will be too late for us to regret it.
